Set among coastal wildflowers, swaying grasses and whispering pines, these charming cottages are minutes from broad silken beaches. When the day is done, return to the cottage’s mix of shabby-chic comforts, slip covered sofas, vintage rugs with large windows that welcome the evening light. On cooler nights wrap up in a quilt by the hearth or in an oversized adirondack chair, under the stars and listen to the meditative surf as you wind down your day.
The weathered cedar cottages rest just steps from the tide, soft gray shingles bleached by sun and sea. Inside, simple furnishings – open-weave blankets, woven mats, and driftwood shelves – reflect the calm simplicity of the shore. Mornings begin on the porch, coffee in hand, sun warming your face while gulls wheel above.

They bring those books they have been waiting to read and then read the books that have been left behind by past visitors. What else? They sleep, lay on the beach, swim in the water, hunt for starfish, crabs, sea urchins, and the endless supply of beach glass. They ride bikes, walk, run, snuggle, they breathe deeply and are refreshed..and they come back… maybe all they can slip in is a weekend or maybe even just a night sometimes in the fall.. but people who come for a visit, come back to stay.

Myself and four friends stayed for two nights in two separate cottages and enjoyed every minute of it. The cottages were clean, and well equipped (some searching required but that just added to the fun!). Yes, they are rustic but we were dry and warm and had great water pressure so really what more could anyone ask for? The beach was right outside our front porch and Nancy was able to place us in two cottages right beside each other so it really felt like summer camp running from one to the other. The views are amazing (moon rise and sun rise) and everyone we talked to in the community treated us like a neighbour rather than a short term visitor. I applaud the MacLeod clan for keeping these cottages going for as long as they have! We will be back and counting the days until then. Thank you!
